Human rights Preservation Program

Human Rights preservation program has been implementing through the following activities.

  1. Mosus offer education legal advice training to its recipient rights preservation and the protection of this violation.
  2. Conflict mitigation with the participation and intervention of the human right’s presentation committee.
  3. The laws which affects the human rights of people are placed to the respective authority thrush recommendation for amendment.
  4. Highlighting of committed esinues to the people through annma report and news papers.
  5. Arranging workshops. Seminars meetings, training and other information disseminating activities.
  6. Mosus offers paralegal training to the representatives of allied NGOS.
  7. It also offers paralegal to the school / college students of human rights violation protection preservation.
  8. Mosus will observe all the human rights concerned observational days as declared by the united nations.
  9. In case of several of human rights Mosus will under take an initiative to draw the attention of the civil society and organize the people and mobilize them to take urgent legal action against any violation.
  10. Rehabilitation through introduction small scale schemes development for the unemployment and disabled.
  11. Consciousness raising on healthy sanitation pure water use.
  12. Establishments of public leprous.
  13. Establishing coordination cooperation and linkage with Govt., NGOS, who comefocitate mosus in this regent.
  14. COORY out IEC activities to disseminate human rights and other development concussed information.
    Nature of beneficiaries covered.

The nature of beneficiaries covered the following critics.

  • The poor, vulnerable, destitute, discetes, and exploited people who are illegally divorud, deprived of legal rights victim of injustice etc.
  • Women and children who are deprived of fundamental rights and victims due to violation of human rights.
  • Who are not conscious or aware of human rights preservation procedures and taking legal action or go under legal aides incase of victimization.
  • Who are unable render legal actions agaisnt any deprivation torture, exploitation due to want of human and financial supports.
  • Community led total sanitation (CLTS).
  • HIV/ AIDS program on consortium.
  • Post literacy continuing education for human development (PLCEHD).
  • Strengthening of local government to promote good governance and human rights.
  • Disaster management.
  • Improved cook stove (Reduction of fuel and eradication of inner pollution).
  • Savings and micro credit.

Group Formation

Since inception, Mousus had the aims to bring shout a positive change in the life- style of the disadvantaged women and adolescents. The group members are the victims of social oppression exploitation and other abuses. Mosus start its activities by organizing then into small groups. The beneficiaries will be encouraged to save money regularly to initiate some income earning activities based on their savings.

Credit Program: (On going)

Mosus is working to expand its Revolving Loan Fund (FLF) scheme. The expansion of the revolving loan fund will help not only to overcome the financial constraint of the group members involved in various employments an income generating activities but also help mobilize the available local resources in favor of them. Mosus has been implementing this program in rural as well as in urban committees.

Disability in Development Program

Disabled in our society are the most neglected and stranded section of human beings. To make them self-reliant and acceptable to our society Mosus has undertaken this program with challenge. Mosus has there CHDRP and social communicators to identify the disable, give then PRT and different assistive devices along with RLF and legal assistance. so that they can contribute to the development process and make position in the society.

]Adult Literacy & Children’s Human Rights Education

Mosus operates a non-formal adult and children’s Human rights education program for its beneficiary communities with the introduction of a non- traditional approach in terms of techniques, materials & methods, In adult education, Mosus emphasizes the education of illiterate men & women who are able to propagate development messages and contribute to the strengthening of family and the Society.

Water and Sanitation Wrights Program

Due to lack of safe drinking water facilities. Sanitary latrines and various water borne diseases a large number of death. Particularly among under – 5 children takes place in Bangladesh each year. Mosus in addition to provide tube-wells and sanitary latrines, motivate and educate people to use safe drinking water for all household activities, install home made pit latrines and develop hygiene practices.

Arsenic Mitigation Project

All over 20 million people in Bangladesh are potentially at risk of arsenic contamination of drinking ground water above the maximum permissible level of 0.05 (mg/1). Presently safe drinking water coverage in Bangladesh is 39 while 50% of the populations are drinking arsenic contaminated water (BBS- 2006). So these people are at risk of Arsenicosis which ultimately leads to death of affected people. Mosus principally taken decision to address the matter. Arsenic mitigation project has been undertaken. As a part of action organization has implementing activities are as follows: Awareness raising on arsenic mitigation. Training on arsenic mitigation. Tube – well water testing to identify arsenic contamination etc.

Improved Cook Stove

Biomass energy is the main energy source used in Bangladesh. It is the source of cooking energy in almost all non gas grid area of Bangladesh. Unfortunately biomass is becoming scarce and there is latent fuel crists in may rural areas. In more than 20 million household and one million institutional and commercial establishments of Bangladesh, the people cook with biomass fuels in traditional stoves, which utilize biomass fuel very inefficient and cause health hazards, to the users. To improve the cooking efficiency and mitigate health hazard. Manabodikhar O Samaj Unniyan Sangtha- Mosus had been implementing improved cook stove dissemination program. the main goal of the program reduction of exposure to indoor air pollution an deduction of fuel cost through dissemination of improved cook stove.

Main objectives of the improved cook stove are as follows

Fuel save 50% to 65% compares with traditional cook stove.
Cooking needs less time.
No heath hazards occurs.
Cooking materials are not with black smoke
Stop inner air pollution.

AWARENESS RAISING AND PREVENTION OF HIV/AIDS.

Mosus is learn from the global HIV/AIDS response to date is that human rights. public health and development frame works are critical both in understanding the key problems that impact on the epidemic, and in building the alliances that are needed to address them . For this purpose Mosus has undertaken massive awareness building activities in entire of its program area.
