Objectives

Manobadikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha-MOSUS – is trying to improve the socio- economic status & increase literacy rate of rural destitute women & children, MOSUS has set the following objectives to achieve its goal. To develop alternative leadership amongst the poor and marginalized people of the society for their empowerment.

  • Through organizing, empowering and strengthening the decision making power of the poor strive to create a leeway for the underprivileged to have their access to utilize the available resources and opportunities of the society.
  • To assist disadvantaged men, women and children in organizing themselves to increase the opportunities of education, employment and income for strengthening their role in the decision making process.
  • To increase literacy and awareness level of the vulnerable women and children through non formal education.
  • To provide training for capacity building to implement various income generating activities.
  • To undertake activities for supply of safe water and sanitation program for healthy human beings.
  • To enhance the capacity of staff by providing both HRD and skills training for active facilitation in development activities run by the organization.
  • To promote good governance and human rights programs for strengthening local government institution (Union parishad) towards resolving social conflict for promoting rural peace.
  • To create better opportunity for the disable to contribute their efforts for the community as a essential part of the society.
  • To increase social status of the vulnerable groups by providing housing facilities.
  • Help to install improved cook stove to reduce fuel cost as well as protect good health and environment.
  • To reduce myriad violence, discrimination and deprivation with protecting abuse of human rights.
  • Strengthen local government to promote good governance and human rights activities among the rural communities.
  • Work through networking approach for service delivery for the poor and create livelihood and housing opportunities for vulnerable communities in rural set up.
  • Work for risk reduction of environmental degradation and mitigate the damage of the natural disaster.

The major objectives of MOSUS.

MOSUS’S objective is human rights oriented these are:

  1. Structural poverty alleviation.
  2. Environmental protection and regeneration.
  3. Human and women rights violation protection, preservation of rights.
  4. Income generation opening employment opportunities.
  5. Ensure women’s participation.
  6. Education, Health and work right Preservation.
  7. Improvement of legal, social and economic status of poor women resources.
  8. Developing public institutions and increasing participation.
  9. Increasing people capacity to obtain and exercise democratic human rights.
  10. To make the people conscious about the protection prevention of all kinds of human, women children’s fundamental rights etc.
  11. To preserve the rights to disable people and bring prevention their rehabilitation.

Overall Strategy

  • Mosus will follow participatory process for providing all kinds of support for the socioeconomic & social development and Human rights development of the community.
  • From planning to evaluation staff member of Mosus should be treated they are the facilitator and community catalyst are the key actors in the whole development process.
