Dr. Md. Golam Rahman Bhuiyan is an Advocate of the Bangladesh Supreme Court and the founder and chairman of Manobadhikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (MOSUS). With decades of dedication to law, justice, and human rights, he has established himself as a respected legal professional and social leader.


Beyond his legal practice, Dr. Bhuiyan is deeply committed to human rights, social justice, and community development. The organization MOSUS, under the leadership of Dr. Md. Golam Rahman Bhuiyan, has been implementing activities related to human rights concerns since its inception in 1997. Giving top priority to women’s and children’s rights, MOSUS works to prevent violations of rights, violence against women, and provides legal aid to victims of trafficking, early marriage, dowry, divorce, torture, sexual exploitation, rape, acid attacks, and other abuses, covering a large number of victims (1,642) across 12 districts of Bangladesh.


It is noteworthy that Dr. Md. Golam Rahman Bhuiyan, on behalf of MOSUS, has conducted observations of national and local elections held in Bangladesh. He also performed a national election observation in Sutrapur, Kotwali, serving as Coordinator under the sponsorship of FEMA in 1995.


Dr. Bhuiyan was invited to Nepal to observe its national elections. Through MOSUS, the organization became a partner of BMSP, the pioneering organization in election observation. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman Bhuiyan currently serves as the Vice President of BMSP. MOSUS obtained registration from the Election Commission to observe any elections held in Bangladesh, including the Pourashava elections in 2011. His vision is to uphold justice, empower communities, and contribute to building a society rooted in dignity, equality, and peace.
