“Manobadhikar O Samaj unnayan sangstha- MOSUS” is a non political, Non- profit, Human rights development, Election Monitoring & observation, Rights of the marginalized population, combating violence against woman, protection of vulnerable workers, legal service, voluntary social Welfare & Tourist Association for conservation of natural and environmental which is established 1995 in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh. Our organization deals with various environmental issues of land, water and air. Our program is motivation for use and explore of nature substitutes instead of poisonous chemicals taking an implementing environmental project imparting training for election monitoring and observation, Environment voluntary work camp, combating violence against women, such as tree plantation, tourism, income generating project and mother and child care etc. our organization is registered by the ministry of social welfare, government of Bangladesh, Regt. No. Dha- 03927. It is an advocacy organization and a platform for nationwide complaining movement dedicated to protracting the human rights of people in Bangladesh. In particular

Vision

MOSUS envisions a national and global society where every human being—regardless of caste, creed, color, race, gender, religion, culture, or socioeconomic status— lives with human dignity, lawful rights, and freedom from indignity, injustice, abuse, and exploitation. We aim to raise awareness among the community to reduce gender discrimination and violence. MOSUS dreams of a Bangladesh free from poverty, where justice, human rights, peace, harmony, and people’s dignity are fully ensured.

Mission

Our mission is to empower the poor and victims of violations, restore and preserve legal and socio-economic rights, ensure good governance, provide legal aid, promote gender equity, uphold environmental laws, and strengthen justice through community participation and village courts. We also work to prevent violence against women and promote socio-legal measures for their protection.

Objective of MOSUS

Manobadhikar O Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (MOSUS) is working to improve the socio-economic status and increase the literacy rate of rural destitute women and children. To achieve its goals, MOSUS has set the following objectives:

  • To develop alternative leadership among the poor and marginalized people of society for their empowerment.
  • To organize, empower, and strengthen the decision-making power of the poor, creating opportunities for the underprivileged to access and utilize the available resources and opportunities in society.
  • To assist disadvantaged men, women, and children in organizing themselves to increase opportunities for education, employment, and income, thereby strengthening their role in decision-making processes.
  • To increase literacy and awareness levels of vulnerable women and children through non-formal education.
  • To provide training for capacity building and implement various income-generating activities.
  • To undertake activities to supply safe water and sanitation programs for healthier communities.
  • To enhance the capacity of staff by providing both HRD and skills training for effective facilitation of development activities run by the organization.
  • To promote good governance and human rights programs by strengthening local government institutions (Union Parishads) in resolving social conflicts and promoting rural peace.
  • To create better opportunities for persons with disabilities to contribute to the community as essential members of society.
  • To improve the social status of vulnerable groups by providing housing facilities.
  • To help install improved cookstoves to reduce fuel costs while protecting health and the environment.
  • To reduce violence, discrimination, and deprivation, while protecting against the abuse of human rights.
  • To strengthen local government institutions in promoting good governance and human rights activities within rural communities.
  • To work through networking approaches for delivering services to the poor and creating livelihood and housing opportunities for vulnerable communities in rural areas.
  • To work on risk reduction of environmental degradation and mitigate the damage caused by natural disasters.

Our Goal

Develop and empower marginalized people, including women and children, in society, and involve them in the poverty alleviation process. Transformation of the unjust traditional structure of power in the community and establishing peace, harmony, and human rights.
